Hi, I’m a mother of three wonderful children, 2 boys ages 21 and 23, and a beautiful daughter age 20. Thank goodness they’re all in college now, which makes all my grey hair worth it.
My pregnancy story begins on a very rocky road, that, if it weren’t for my husbands strength, compassion and level headedness, I don’t think I would’ve been able to get through it.
We married young and being from the era when starting a family was immediately expected right after the wedding vows, I was crazy with distress when I didn’t become pregnant within the first 6 months of our nuptials. My husband wasn’t too worried and tried to relieve my concerns, but unfortunately to no avail.
I started to become frantic that something was medically wrong, so I dragged my new husband to our family physician to physically check us both out.
Reluctantly, my husband agreed to all the various fertility tests our physician recommended we take, to rule out anything serious and when all was said and done, after our physician reviewed all of the tests, he concluded nothing was wrong and that we were absolutely healthy, but if we wanted some information on fertility procedures, he would be more than willing to counsel us on those matters.
My doctors recommendation did not squelch my concerns, in fact, it made me even more upset, I wanted a natural pregnancy, so I did some holistic research of my own, and what I found out on my own eased my tensions regarding how to get pregnant.
In my research I found literally hundreds of herbs and alternative health methods you can follow to help you become pregnant in non-invasive ways that is time-tested and all natural.
First let’s start with what you put in your mouth, your diet is essential to conceiving a healthy baby. Needless to say a healthy diet consisting of all natural fruits and vegetables and whole foods goes a long way and should be adhered to strictly, before, during, and after a pregnancy.
Secondly, when you combine a healthy diet with certain valuable herbs and time-tested alternative methods, you have a winning combination for conception.
Squaw Vine is one such herb, when properly utilized it can be very helpful. The Native Americans, for thousands of years used squaw vine to strengthen a womens’ uterus and along with raspberry leaves are some of the best components to nourish and strengthen the uterus, essential to bare a child. This combination will also help recovery in the women after giving birth.
This sounds strange, but I know of almost a half dozen herbs referred to as squaw vine, or squaw bush. Likewise, this herb is known by a half dozen or more names like “partridge berry,’ “checker berry,” “squaw berry,” “winter clover,” …

After my last pregnancy I was so glad I took the time to research a natural way to pregnancy, instead of the invasive procedure they have out on the market today, not that I’m knocking any medical procedures that could possibly help a couple to conceive a child when no other way can help them. I opted for the natural way because I’m really afraid of needles ! And finding out how these herbs could help me was a life saver indeed.
For me, this fabulous herb called squaw vine, the traditional Native American home remedy for conceiving a child, that also has holistic recovery properties in combination with various other herbs, gave me and my husband the family we always wanted.
I was so excited, the other day when my husband asked me if I would consider conceiving another child to add to our already wonderful family, I said YES ! not only do I know conception will occur, it will be a lot of fun trying.
Always consult your family physician or practicing holistic healer before embarking on any alternative herbal regimen.

Partridge Berry
5/3/10 The ovaries of the twin flowers fuse, so that there are two flowers for every berry. The two bright red spots on each berry are vestiges of this process. The scarlet berries are edible but rather tasteless, with a faint flavour of wintergreen, resembling cranberries (to which they are not closely related). Each berry contains eight seeds. The fruit ripens between July and October. These berries are part of the diets of several birds, such as Ruffed Grouse, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Northern Bobwhite, and Prairie Chicken. The Red Fox, raccoons and White-tailed Deer seem to like it as well.
